The two pie charts illustrate how people access the information through five major news sources (TV, Radio, Print, Online and not specified) in the UK and Brasil.
Overall, what stands out from the charts is that while TV is the most popular way of getting news in the UK, Brazilian people prefer to reach new information online. In contrast, radio and print are less popular in Brazil than in the UK. Unspecified methods are the least used in both countries.
In the UK, television is the dominant category at 42%, closely followed by online sources at 35%. The opposite pattern is in Brazil, where the most common source of news is online platforms, accounting for just over half of all sources. TV is the second most popular way to access the news and comprises 38%.
Print news has a noticeable role in the UK and accounts for less than a fifth, while radio is used by only 7% of the population. In contrast, in Brazil both print and radio are less significant and make up 6% and 2% respectively. Unspecified sources make up the least fraction in both countries and account for 2% in the UK and 1% in Brazil.
