In 1985, modern languages accounted for the largest proportion at 24%, followed by fitness and dance at 22%. Art and local history were chosen by 17% and 15% of students respectively. Meanwhile, cookery made up 14%, and music appreciation was the least popular course at only 8%.
In the current year, IT has emerged as the most widely chosen course, making up 27% of the total. Fitness and dance remained stable at 22%, while cookery increased slightly to 19%. The proportion of students taking modern languages fell significantly to 17%, and art classes experienced a small drop to 15%, making them the lowest category this year.
