The pie charts above depict the percentage of graduaters with various levels of qualification in science and art working in a specific engineering company, between 1980 and 2008.
In general, we can see that Ph. D – science and Master – science are competing for dominant in the pie. Meanwhile, it is a huge contrast for Ph. D in art who is the smallest part in the pie in both timelines.
In the year 1980, Masters in science was the largest percentage with 29%. But, in the 2008, the throne was shifted to Ph. D – science as it went upwards, from 25% to 30%, while Master – Science plataeued in 29%.
As for the minority degrees, which are first degree – art, first degree – science, and master – art. In 2008, first degree – science fell from 20% to 12%. Same condition as first degree in science, the first degree – art also fell for 1%, from 11% to 10%. The same situation for Master in art, it also went down from 13% to 12%.
