The pie charts illustrate the percentage of different energy producing sources: Hydropower, Oil, Nuclear Power, Coal and Natural Gas in the UK between 1983 and 2003.
Overall, the proportion of energy produced by Coal and Oil decreased during the period given, while for Natural Gas it was a significant rise. Also, the percentage of Hydropower electricity showed the same indicator in both years.
In 1983, the highest percentage of fuel producing demonstrated by Oil with 48%, while the lowest one was Hydropower with only 4%. Moreover, the power generated by Nuclear Power accounted 23% of total energy, thereby stayed at second place after Oil. In contrast, the percentage of powers created by Coal and Natiral Gases compared 34% collectievly.
In 2003, in compaire with first year, the proportion of Oil using in energy producing dropped to 38%, but in this year, this figure showeed the highest percentage too. However, for Natural Gases fuel it was a significant rose to 21%, and Hydropower electricity stayed at 4% in this year too. Also, powers generated by Coal and Nuclear Power accounted 13% and 24% respectievly.
