Overall, for Nigerians the TV was one of the most popular way to access the news, while for Nigerians it was newspaper and this two sources made up the most significant segment of the chart. Remaining sources shared the rest relatively equally, each representing a much smaller proportion.
TV and newspaper was popular type of device for both Nigerians and Germans and represented 45%, 13% (newspaper) for Nigerians and 30%, 63% (TV) for Germans, suggesting a notable portion of the overall allocation. While the remaining figures such as internet and friends and family was the least favored type of sources and both of them represented only 1% of the total chart for Nigerians.
The radio was relatively common device and accounted for 10% for Germans and 22% for Nigerians, it was considerably higher compared to other sources which was only 4%. Furthermore the internet comprised 11% of the total chart for Germans, while for Nigerians it was the least popular source to access to news.
