The charts illustrate the proportion of five primary causes of migrating to and from Australia in 2010.
Overall, having a definite job is the most significant reasons for entered and left Australia in 2010. However, a small proportion this are looking for job who arrive in Australia, whereas the lowest number of Australian who leave the country to pursue their education.
In terms of reason of migration having a definite job accounted for 38% of all immigration in Australia, whereas almost same number (37%) of Australian leaving the country with the same purpose. Almost a quarter moved to Australia to continue their formal education which was the second major factor, while the number of Australian who left the country with same reason is only 6%.
In addition, one tenth migrated in Australia were seeking for a job opportunity this is twice as who leave the country with the same reason. Moreover, accompany or join a relative or friend has almost the same number with immigrated and emigrated, at 17% and 16%, respectively.
