During 2 centuries, there were some different about how people used the time a day. In 1958, they spent 33% a day for working, less than 9% nowdays. In 2008, they worked around 42% a day, that was approximately 10 hours per day. About percentage of sleeping, we can see a dramatic drop, from 32% in 1958 to 25% in 2008. People had to work harder althought their sleep hour strongly decreased.
With the rest, they just took nearly one third a day, in 1958, people used only 2% a day to travel to work. However, due to the traffic, people in 2008, spent 8% day just for waiting traffic lights, traffic jam. Another fact, people was more busy or lazy than then, we can see the percentage of time that we spent going out fell sharply 13%, from 19% to 6%.
But honestly, their lives weren’t easy, they should spent time resting at home than going out because of the work and family. The time they relaxed at home was increasing 8% to 13%, helped them keep the health. And finally, both these years, they spent a few time for others activities, around 2 hours per day.
