The pie charts give information about the class sizes in primary school in four different Australian areas in 2010.
In general, 21-25 students in a class made up the highest share in 3 out of 4 states, except for South Australia, whereas classes that had more than 30 students recorded the lowest percentage in all four region given.
Regarding New South Wales, the most common class size was 21-25 students with 37%, followed by 26-30 students, accounting for more than a third. 20 students or fewer occupied 26%, much higher than the percentage of class having more than 30 students (4%). In South Australia, the proportion of class comprising under 30 students ranged from 28% to 36%, while the biggest class size saw the lowest figure at just 4%.
In terms of Australia Capital Territory, the proportion of class owning 21-25 students accounting for about a half of the total, much higer than the figure for fewer than 20 students (38%) 26-30 students (10%), and more than 30 students (1%). In Western Australia, most classes having 21-25 students with 42%. The figure of fewer 20 students and 26-30 students were quite similar, 26% and 27% respectively. The last position was the largest size classes with just 5%.
