Overall, Computer games is the most prelavent activities in Boys’ Cultural and Leisure Activities while Dancing is a cup of tea in Girls’ cultural and Leisure Activities.
First and most, Computer games is caught on the most in Boys’ activities, accounting for 34%. This is followed by Basketball which makes up 26%. The proportion of children playing soccer take up 17% of Boys’ Cultural and Leisure Activities. The percentage of male children who opt for listening to music and skate boarding have the same figure, respondingly 10% and 11%. And the lowest figure is Reading which just accounts for 2% in male children’s activities.
On the other hand, Dancing is the most popular activity in Girls’ leisure time, accounts for 27%. Contrasting with Boys, 21% girls in this survey opt for reading in their free time. The figures of female children participating in Computer Games and Netball are equivalent, respectively 16% and 15%. The percentage of girls opting for Gymnastics and listening to music also have the same figure, accounting for respectively 11% and 10%.
