The image depicts two maps labeled "Pebbleton 20 years ago" and "Pebbleton now", representing changes over time in a coastal town. In the "20 years ago" map, notable features include a lighthouse located at the northern tip beside the sea, a few scattered houses along a road named "Old Fort Road", a film studio nearby, a playing field, some trees, and a school south of the river, with "Coast Road" running parallel to the river. In the "Pebbleton now" map, changes include the addition of condominiums by the lighthouse, more densely packed houses replacing some older ones, and new flats along "Coast Road". The original playing field, river, and school positions remain unchanged. Geographic orientation is denoted by a compass on both maps, pointing north.

The given maps illustrate the developments of Pebbleton village in a period of 20 years.
Overall, there have been seen significant developments in terms of houses and other facilities such as the replacement of an old fort with a children’s playground.
For 20 years, the lighthouse on the western side of this place has not changed. However, the Old Fort now is replaced by a children’s playground and the film studio is turned into flats. In addition, the individual space for Lighthouse lane now is separated into three different spaces: Footpath, Tennis Courts, Lighthouse lane respactively. At present, a Footbridge has been built to connect the coast road to the old fort road, which greatly assisted students of the school in the south to cross the river.
There is a new appearance of community centre between lighthouse and houses. Towards the north of the map, the number of houses increased. Almost things in the eastern side remained unchanged
