The diagram illustrates how the village of Pebbleton has changed over the course of two decades.
Overall, Pebbleton has witnessed various transformations, with the most noticeable changes being the addition of multiple amenities as well as the improvement in transport links.
Twenty years ago, there was a lighthouse positioned in the northwestern corner of the village, with an old fort next to it and a film studio on the far opposite side. The Old Fort Road in the middle of the village gave access to the lighthouse land and many houses to the north, as well as a playing field to the south. Near the end of the road was a roadbridge that connected the village to a school situated on the other side of the river.
In the present map, the old fort has been converted into a children’s playground, while what once was the film studio is now a block of flats. Furthermore, tennis courts and a community centre have been constructed in the vicinity of the houses, providing more entertainment venues for residents. A footpath has also been built next to the playing field and across the river in order to improve connectivity between the school and the village.
