The map illustrates a bookstore site planned to be developed over a 24-year period from 2000 to the present. Overall, there will be significant change with construction of buildings and facilities, including cookery, hobbies, and art, and so on. In fact, the bookstore went through such noticeable modification that the only part left unchanged were facilities located at the center of the building.
Focusing on the area of the bookstore, in 2000 there were non-fiction and service desks available in the east of the new bookstore, while fiction and travel were situated in the other part of the layout. Cookery, hobbies, and art lined up above the new books store.
Over the years, the area has had several developments with the addition of new areas. The non-fiction was replaced by a cafe counter. Meanwhile, travel and new bookstores, which were close to the service desk, however, remained unchanged. However, the cookery, hobbies, and art were destroyed to build a new area for sitting. Furthermore, part of the fiction was made smaller to change the position of cookery, hobbies, and art near this building. Finally, fiction located in the north of the layout, was replaced by non-fiction.
