The illustrations indicate changes that took place in a bookstore from 2000 to present.
Overall, major modifications can be seen in the field of book varieties and service.
In 2000, there was a table for new products placed right in front of the entrance, between travel books and a service desk. While shelves for fiction books were situated along the left hand side of the store, people could find non-fiction category on the opposite side. Simultaneously, in the centre, there were three rows of books with different types, namely cookery, hobbies and art.
Regarding to the present, the new books table together with the service desk remain unchanged. The area for travel sector stays intact. Notably, three bookshelves which used to be in the middle of the store have been moved to the left corner, to make room for new tables for readers. As a result, the area for fiction books has been narrowed, even part of this category has been replaced by non-fiction books. Finally, there is a modern cafe counter in the right corner, which allows people to enjoy coffee while reading.
