The following maps show changes that have been made to the college cafe as a result of its redesign.
According to the current plan, certain facilities, including the kitchen, the toilets, and the tables and chairs area remain unchanged.
Looking at the changes in more detail, it is clear that the staff dining rooms have been replaced by a take away food area and a coffee bar. Meanwhile, the number of seats has been expanded by creating a new barbecue zone with outdoor seating. Moreover, the serving area has been replaced by hot meals point, and a salad bar has appeared along the left cafes wall.
Overall, the college cafe has become more customer-friendly, offering a much wider variety of food choices, increasing seating capacity and providing an outdoor dining opportunity. Additionally, it has been modernised and it has become more eco-friendly due to the introduction of recycling bins. The kitchen and the main indoor seating area have remained largely unchanged.
