The maps illustrate the developments that occurred in the museum between 1957 and 2007. Overall, the museum underwent a significant transformation during this time, with a noticeable increase in construction and decrease in greenery.
In 1957, the museum had only three rooms: the national history exhibition, the local history room, and the museum storeroom located on the right side of the map. There was also a garden in the northwest corner, with a road to the south leading to an entrance hall.
By 2007, significant changes had taken place in the museum. The trees in the southeast corner were removed to make space for a new car park. The local history room had moved to where the national history exhibition had been. The museum storeroom had been transformed into a café. A reception area had been built next to the café, replacing the entrance hall. In addition, a new museum shop had been added in the center of the building. Furthermore, a special exhibitions and education center was constructed in the northeast of the museum. However, the garden remained unchanged throughout the period.
