The two maps depict the changes made to a small theatre between 2010 and 2012.
Overall, the theatre was notably modernised, with the addition of dining facilities and showers for employees, transforming it into a more visitor- and employee-friendly space.
In 2010, the theatre consisted of a simple layout. The auditorium – the main feature of the theatre – was located in the centre. Above the auditorium, there was a big stage for performances, and behind it, a dressing room for performers was allocated. Moreover, to the left of the stage, there was storage, where different types of clothes were kept. The bottom part of the theatre featured admin and ticket offices, which were situated on the left-hand side of the main door, whereas a café with seating areas was located on the right.
By 2012, the theatre had undergone significant development. The auditorium had not seen any changes, but the area above it had undergone many alterations. The size of the stage was expanded notably, and the storage room, which formerly stood on the left side of the stage, was moved to the top right corner. Meanwhile, the dressing room was replaced by a corridor, so it was relocated to the former place of the storage area, and showers for performers were added below the dressing room. In the bottom part of the theatre, the café was demolished in order to make way for the ticket office, while the admin office was moved to the left corner of the auditorium. In the former place of the admin and ticket offices, a new restaurant was constructed to make the theatre more visitor-friendly.
