The two maps illustrate changes made to a coastal region before and after a redevelopment project.
Overall, this coastal area experienced significant transformation, shifting from a rural agricultural-oriented region to a recreational space aimed at tourists. Key developments include the removal of farming and grazing sites, and the introduction of a parking lot, a café and playgrounds.
Prior to development, most of the lands were allocated for agricultural and grazing purposes, with some spaces left unused. In the center of the site lay farming buildings, which could be accessed via a path from the north, whereas the eastern section featured cliffs leading to the seafront. In addition, there were no facilities or infrastructure for the public at that time.
Turning to the development layout, this coastal land experienced significant changes. Zones for farming and raising cattle were replaced by amenities targeting visitors, and the centrally positioned farm buildings were knocked down to make room for a spacious car park. To the northeast of the car park lay a café, while the abandoned land in the western area was redeveloped into a lake site, which was encircled by vegetation and a walking path. Apart from those improvements above, the previous farmland in the east was converted into woodland with similar walking paths, and a staircase was also added to the cliffs, providing easier access to the seafront. Finally, the beach became more vibrant with the putting up of recreational activities such as sunbathing and playing.
