The three given plans illustrate the changes in the ground floor of a specific building and how it was aimed. Overall, the building was used for commercial purposes and changed into residential area and back into commercial use. After redevelopment, more space was created and only the kitchen remained unchanged throughout the period.
From 1958 to 1984, the floor was used as an office facility. Entering the office, people would encounter a reception area, and on the opposite side, there were water closet facilities. Walking through the corridor, the manager’s office was situated on the left, while his secretary’s and assistant’s offices were on the other side of the corridor. At the corner of the building, there were a conference room and dining facilities for the employees.
In 1985, the building was altered into living quarters and used for this purpose until 2000. Office rooms and toilets were changed into bathrooms and showers. They were placed to the left of the entrance, while the manager’s office and reception area were redesigned into two large bedrooms. The meeting room was extended and changed into a living room.
Since 2001, the building has been used for a flower shop. A new play area has appeared in place of the bathroom. One of the bedrooms was changed back into an office, and the living room into a gift shop. All of the other areas of the building have been allocated for flowers, with the only unchanged feature being the kitchen.
