The maps illustrate the transformations of a local theatre between 2000 and the recent years.
Overall, it is evident that the Newtown theatre has undergone significant modifications with some features being replaced, expanded and eliminated to create a modern and visitor-friendly environment.
Regarding the illustration in 2000, from the western area, the theatre was located in terms of entertainment. At the top of the theatre, there was a stage opposite to the rows of seats from A to M, while the backstage was hidden behind the main stage. In addition, from the rear of the theatre, it could be seen that an entrance was situated along with a foyer leaving space for visitors. The left corner of the building was occupied by a toilet, which was adjacent to the coat area, meanwhile the right corner featured a refreshment area and a ticket centerFinally, a park with trees was constructed next to the building and the main road was parallel to both the building and the park.
Turning our attention to the present layout, the former park has been demolished to establish a new waiting hall. The entrance was relocated and expanded to the east side with a larger foyer leading to tickets, refreshment and coat area. In the North East, a restaurant has been added which is next to the toilets. Finally, the internal layout of the main theatre is designed with extra seats for visitors.
