The maps illustrate the changes of Oxton town in thirty years.
Overall, the town experienced several transformations, with the most notable being the extinction of forest and the addition of parking lots. Also, it was said that the road systems were added by public footpath and the tram line.
Looking at the northern section, the woods were replaced by flower gardens and the road was extended to reach the new car park. At the southern areas, although the railway line remained intact, there witnessed the enlargement of the railway station and the addition of two new car parks. Remarkably, from here, a tram line in Way Avenue road which came across the town was constructed.
Shifting our attention to the west, whereas the castle remained untouched, the swimming pool has been repurposed into a leisure centre, which facilitates more equipments rather than a pool. To the center, it was clear that the shops experienced no changes, as did the restaurants on the right. Strikingly, the town has seen the addition of numerous public footpath throughout, which provide a sense of convenience for commuting.
