The provided schemes illustrate the architectural transformation of a cottage from 1950 to the contemporary era.
Overall, it is clear that the cottage has undergone complete alterations. However, the side of the building that has been mostly reconstructed is the right part, as in 1950 there was an enormous library, which was divided into three rooms in 1970; nowadays, two of them have been combined to create a temporary exhibition space.
Moreover, the center of the construction has remained intact but the function of the different spaces has changed slightly. For instance, at first there was a music room at the top, which in 1970 gave way to a classroom; nevertheless, in the present day it is again used for music. Furthermore, all the time, in the middle there has been a living room, except it was exploited for teaching in 1970.
And finally, on the left side only upper corner has been converted dramatically. In the beginning there was a lounge, which then gave over to reception and office and eventually became a shop.
