The given two plans illustrates the ground floor organization of library in 2001 and 2009. For the nearest decade, it massively develops the floor structure.
First and foremost in 2001, floor arrangement of library is somewhat represents a typical, an old version with minimum access to the shelf resources. Basically, sitting area was in the middle and tables were gathered as a group. Moreover, majority of the books that pepole were accessed were History, Fiction, Newspapers and Periodicals.
Following the same format entrance, stairs, and librarian’s desk are same as per the previous situation. Secondly, reading area was enhanced by arranging more space with corner tables. Furthermore, Newspapers and Periodicals section has been replaced with new Films and DVDs section. Year 2009 is more modern compared to 2001, it reflects with the computers innovation. Although, different choices also introduced for consumers by adding various reading materials such as, Kichen, Economics, and Law.
As a summary, this floor design contrasts that library has been developed over the past 8 years, with new technology and improved content.
