The plans given shows the initial layout of a ground level of a library in 2001 and its renovation plan 8 years after. These plans indicate multiple changes that has been made.
Initially, the room’s shelves were only seperated into three book genres and one for newspaper and periodicals. In 2001 the library facilitated the readers with 8 pieces of table, and an accessible librarian’s desk near the entrance. After undergoing a redevelopment, the library offers more genres, with kitchen, economics, and law being a new addition. There are also some major restructural for the table layout, there are 4 horizontal aligned long tables facilitated. Furthermore, there has been investments made in the change, such as 2 pieces of computers, replacing the newspaper and periodical shelf with films and DVDs shelf and an addition of a children’s area. Although there are multiple rearrangements and improvements, the structure of the library remains alike as the entrance and stairs does not shift in position.
The layout plans indicates that the library has been developed into a more child-friendly place, modern facility, and a diverse source of books and literature.
