The picture illustrates plans for the renovation of Southeast Airport for years to come.
Overall, it is apparent that the airport will have numerous changes, the most prominent of which is the addition of gates and the establishment of new facilities, such as an ATM, a parking space, and shops to meet the demand of customers.
Although the location of departure and arrival space stays unchanged, it is proposed to add more doors. When one enters the airport, there is currently a check-in area and a café shop. The future plan will relocate the café from the right to the left bottom-hand corner, making space for check-in, and there is a bag drop where the check-in used to be. As for the arrival space, it will accommodate new amenities such as a café, an ATM, and a car hire, necessitating the size expansion of the floor.
Security, passport control, and customs remain in the same position; however, the floor plan demonstrates that shops are added immediately upon the security in the departure space. The largest proposed alternation are the replacement of the walkway to Skytrain and the construction of 2 more branching corridors that allow travelers to have double grates ( at present are 8 grates and 18 after the renovation)
