The diagram illustrates the reconstruction floor plan of South Wing of Walton Museum during the 4-year building.
Overall, according to the plan, the South Wing of Museum has undergone a lot of changes over the past four years. Such as entrance hall, reception and rebuilding floors with new sections.
To begin with, in 2008, the plan has shown as a two-floor building. The reception and the reading room were on the second floor, and the entrance was outside. Additionally, there was the stairs in reception in order to reach the shop and other rooms.
By the year 2012, the entrance became the hall and the terrace is appeared above of it. Furthemore, reception and cloak room were combined and the restaurant was added as a third floor. Instead of stairs, there is a lift, which provides to the third sector of four floors. Due to combining the cloak room with reception, the children’s play area took a place in the first floor. And the self-service cafe with exhibition room were added as a third and fourth floors. The gallery, shop and reading room remained untouched.
