The 2 maps illustrate a bookstore in 2000 and today’s bookstore.
In 2000, there were fewer opportunities in the bookstore. On entering the library from the south, visitors first encountered the service desk immediately right. Three vertical departments aligned side by side above the new books table. The travel section was placed adjacent to the fiction zone which was situated entirely on the left and the top half of the map. Meanwhile, there was a non-fiction section along the right edge which was occupied directly opposite to the fiction.
Nowadays, the bookstore has experienced comprehensive reorganisations, with several new sections constructed and others relocated or entirely removed.
The art, hobbies and crookery sections are replaced in the half of the fiction section which was placed on the left-hand and three tables placed instead of them. Additionally, the travel section continued staying in its place but with expansion. As for the changes on the right side of the map, the non-fiction section has completely replaced it with a cafe counter and it transformed into the fiction at the top of the map, however the service desk didn’t see any changes. At the same time, the new books table zone continued to occupy as before.
