The diagram explains the process through which the pineapples are being produced for sale. The process begins from a 26 centimetre crown being grown at a temperature of 28-30 degrees celcius. It is however left to sprout for a period of 7 months with the presence of sunlight. Afrerwards, it grows upto a height of 30 centimetres weighing 2 kilograms making it ready for it’s sale in different ways such as juice or slicing it.
The first stage includes planting of a 26 centimetre crown in a place with a good sunlight and temperatures of 26-30 degrees celcius which takes 7 months to sprout.Afterwards, it takes another 5 months to fully ripen to a height of 30 cm weighing 2 kilograms, however making it ready for it’s sale.
Moreover, the ripe pineapple is harvested and cleaned with tap water, then it is sold in three ways; first is cutting off the crown, peeling it and extracting using a blender to produce juice which is then packaged and branded for sale, secondly, the crown is cut, peeling is done then the pineapple is sliced and packed in a container and finally, it is sealed in a box using wax then exported.
