The following flow diagram illustrates the production sequence of edible oils, fats, and margarine derived from raw materials such as nuts and various types of seeds. Initially, the raw materials are stored in a silo. Subsequently, they undergo processing, which involves crushing and milling to break them into smaller pieces. Once this step is completed, the material is pressed to extract the oil.
After extraction, the oil is filtered to eliminate impurities. It is then subjected to steaming, which is an additional refining process that yields three distinct types of oil: sunflower oil, coconut oil, and refined oils. The final products are packaged in bottles or margarine containers. These packaged oils and fats are then transported to supermarkets or shops, where they are sold as edible oils and margarine.
Each of these processes, from storage to extraction, and filtering to refining, contributes to making edible oil and fat products available on the market for consumption.
