The visual depicts the process of a modern landfill that is used to get rid of household waste.
The overall image clearly shows the formation, use, and closure of a new landfill that tackles the specific problem of household waste.
The construction of the model begins with an empty man-made hole dug out of natural rock. Next the hole is lined in clay which is later covered by a type of synthetic material. Inside the hole are five carefully placed drainage pipes two of which are connected to a drainage tank.
The process of disposal of houshold waste begins with garbage trucks dumping trash into the landfill hole, the dirt then goes through the many drainage pipes before being filtered, with the resulting waste liquid being disposed into the drainnage tank.
When the garbage system is not in use a clay cover is placed over the landfill with an opening, presumably to allow the expulsion of gas from the drainnage pipes.
