The table illustrates the employment of Australian people in different age groups in 2011, and the bar chart presents the gender structure of employed part-time populations across different age groups.
It is clear that people who was employed in 25-54 was the biggest age group, and some older than 65 were the least age group which was employed both full-time and part-time. Meanwhile, there were more women employed in part-time than men in all age groups, except 65+ group.
In table, among the age groups, those aged 25-34, 35-44, and 45-54 had the highest employment rate, all standing at 83%. The age group 20-24 had a relatively high employment rate of 80%. In contrast, the employment rates for people aged 60-64 and 65+ were much lower, at 17% and 12% respectively.
In bar chart, for women, the proportion of those aged 15-19 who was woman was the most, near 40%.While the 65+ age group has the smallest proportion, at approximately 5%. Additionally, women aged 35-44 have the second-highest part-time employment rate, reaching 35%. Among men, those aged 35-44 have the lowest part-time employment rate, at around 7%. men in 15-19 took the most proportion in all ages, over 25%.
