Overall, in terms of the influx of the budget, the national government and local taxes were the most prominent sources of income for the police department. Similarly, the expenditure was mostly on the remuneration of employees in National Security.
To commence with the income of the Police Department, the national government has collected more budget than the previous year, which accounts for $177.8 million in the year 2018. Furthermore, taxes raised from locals have increased by more than $10 million in 2018. Similarly, the money gained from grants showed no change between the two periods of time.
In terms of expenditure, employees’ salaries were the most spent area, which decreased by 6% in 2018. Followed by transportation and the construction of buildings, which leveled off at 17%. Finally, the least amount was delegated into the purchase of technology, which accounted for 14% in the year 2018.
