In terms of the value of fish imported to the UK, it started at 6.5 billlion in 1990. After that, it increased by 1.05 billion, resulting in 7.05 billion in 1995, and then surged significantly to 10.5 billion in the next 5 years.
Canada, Japan, and other countries are the three main sources of the fish imported to the UK. In 1990, Canada and other countries took a similiarity proportion of the fish imported into the UK, which is around 40%, while Japan takes only approxiamte 20% of it. However, though the proportion Japan accounts for remained unchanged
in 1995, it then finally ended up considerably at above one-forth in 2000, whereas the percentage Canada took dropped consistently, and ended up at under one-forth in 2000.
