The table provides the data about the ways of listening to music in East Asia country by young people, with the pie chart describing the preferences for live or recorded music. Overall, the Japanese boys show much higher interest in music compared to the girls.
In terms of music preference, live music received the highest percentage.
As can be seen from the table, the numbers of men who listened to music was much greater than females amount. Proportions of men’ preferences always exceeded 50%, with MP3 players being on the top of the list with 79%. However, this figure was not the same for women; generally, they were just under 50%, with the live music being the most flovoured one. The exception is CDs, with the percentages of 19% for males and 22% for females.
Looking at the pie chart, the overwhelming majority tend to choose live music, which is around 70 percent, while only 26% picked recorded versions.
