Overall, more people visited from China than any other nation, but they were also among the lowest spenders. Australians spent the most money overall, whilst tourist from United Kingdom spent the most money per day.
Nearly one and a half million people visited from China to Vietnam in 2014, but spent only $658 on average, which was the second lowest figure overall. Nearly one million Koreans visited from Korea and just over a half million Japanese spent their holiday in Vietnam. Just over a quarter of million Americans vacationed in Vietnam and they spent $1238 on average.
Australians spent much more money than any other nation with an average spend of $1893. People from United Kingdom stayed the shortest amount of time, with 5.9 days, but spent $1379 on average and therefore by far the most spent per day. Just over a quarter of a million Russian visited in Vietnam and the least number of visitors, Cambodia, also spent least amount of money per day with figures of 187,986 and $120 per day respectively.
