The table illustrates the results of an airline survey conducted in 2002 of economy class male and female passengers of two different age groups. The aim of survey was to explore which in-flight feature is most important for people of different age groups.
In terms of individuals aged between 25 to 45 years, seat or leg room was top priority among that age group of both genders. 30 women and 39 men were very concerned about that feature. Meals and drinks were preferred by 26 and 20 female and male who aged 25-45 years, respectively. Whilst, females in same age group were more think about the attendant servise as compared to men, thats why 34 female respondents out of 100 chose such feature. Moving further, movies or in-flight entertainment was least preffered by the least number of candidates at only 10 by females and it was slightly higher when it comes to men at 14.
Moving towards a second age group of both genders who were older more than 45 years, in regards of seating facilities, females accounted for 35 which is lower than that of men (46). However, these numbers went down when it comes meals and drinks, because only around 1/4 part of male respondents population choose meals as their top ranked facility and number of women stood at 31.Finally, the data of people both gender regarding the in filight entertainment was exactly same, as 4 interviewees claimed that it was most important feature for them.
Overall, entertaining activities was least claimed facility among all age group of both genders. In addition, most candidates rated seat and leg room as their top rated service.
