According to the table, local bus, train, walking, and other different modes were the most used travel choices after the car while taxi was the least preferred mode. Generally, travel distance was higher in 2000 than in 1985.
In terms of cars, the average distance traveled per person was 3,199 miles in 1985, which was the most preferred way of travel also after 25 years with 4806 miles. In 1985 other modes (450), local bus(429), train (289), and walking (255) were also commonly used ways compared to the other 3 modes. The same modes were at the top of the list in 2000 too.
The average taxi distance used per person was just 13 miles in 1985 and with a slight climb, 42 miles in 2000. Long-distance bus usage was 54 miles in 1985, which was increased to 124 in 200, almost 2 times. On the other hand, bicycle use decreased from 51 (in 1985) to 41 miles in 2000.
