The table chart compares the percentage of government expenditure in five different sectors to domestic policy in three countries namely Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom in 2009. In general, health sector and economic affairs sector accounts for nearly the same percentage in all three countries while environmental protection being a sector takes the least investment of the government.
It is witnessed that all three countries having two sectors with a similar rates is about 7,5% of health and about 4,3% of economic affairs and the highest belonging to Italy with 7,9% in health and 4,5% in economic affairs, followed by the UK with 7,8% and 4,4% and Germany with 7,1% and 4,0%. Regarding public services, Italy still has the highest proportion with 8,6% while that proportion in other two countries are significantly lower with 6,6% with Germany and 4,6% with the UK.
On the other hand, in education sector the UK has the highest rate of nearly 6,5% and the lower rates belong to Germany and Italy with about 4,5%. Finally, environmental protection being the sector that takes the smallest percentage is under 1% in all three countries.
