The table illustrates the proportion of management positions held by women in different industries, namely: Finance, Manufacturing, IT, and Hospitality in a European country in 2006.
Overall, the highest portion of women worked in Hospitality compare to other roles, while in Manufacturing it figures the lowest one.
It can be seen that many women employed as a managers, in Hospitality accounted for 33,14%, followed by in Finance with 16.39% and IT with 16.04%, while in Manufacturing only 9% of women managers. Moreover, Executives in this roles showed lower rate, in Hospitality (33.14%), in IT (12.82%), whereas the proportion of female financiers more by approximately 2% than female manufacturers.
When it comes to in field of CEOs, in Hospitality the percentage of females considerably higher than other industries with 20.6%. In addition, there were 6.58% of CEO employees in IT, while, CEOs in Finance and Manufacturing were 1.98% and 1.21%, respectively.
