As regards the first, in 1977, car held a dominant position in the average annual distance ran by adults, with 3500m which more than double to 7,100m, making it ranked first in 2007 . Similarly, trains travel saw a slight increase, rising from 900m to 1000m. The number of miles adults traveled using taxi was 200m in 1977, and then this figure witnessed a significant rise to 800m in 2007.
Regarding the remaining types, the distance traveled by bus in 1997 was 800 meters, which sharply declined by 300 meters in 2007. Besides, motorcycle travel also experienced a minimal decrease, from 100 meters in 1997 to 90 meters in 2007. Furthermore, walking and bicycle distances both decreased, walking was reached at 400 meters, whereas bicycles were at 100 meters. By the end of the given period, walking distances slightly declined to 300 meters, while bicycles showed a similar trend, decreasing marginally by 20 meters.
