In general, the sectors in which most people work are the other and manufacturing sectors; meanwhile, local government, health, retail, and education have a moderate percentage of the population working in them. Other sectors, such as agriculture, catering, law, and accountancy, are the least popular sectors for people of all ages.
Regarding the most popular fields of work, manufacturing accounts for most of the workforce, with individual age groups at 12% for adolescents, 15% for adults, and the highest proportion of middle-aged adults working in this field at 23%. As for other sectors, they employed slightly fewer people than the manufacturing field but still a dominant amount. Notably, adults tend to get the most jobs from other sectors at 18%, while middle-aged people only get half as much at 9%, and young adolescents are the majority in this field at 21%.
Retail boasts the highest employment rate of young adolescents at 23%; other fields, such as health and education, employ about 9% to 15% of each age group. Meanwhile, 18% of middle-aged workers work in their local government; this is the dominant age group in this sector. Fields that do not get much attention from workers include law and accountancy, which only have employment rates of less than 5% across all age ranges; other fields, such as agriculture and catering, are more popular but only have less than 10% of the workforce.
