Overall, the initial highest rated industries, manufacturing and retail, had encountered a downward trend; therefore, making health care with most percentage of employees in the second year.
Coming across giants, the figure for manufacturing showed the colossal percentage at merely 15%, followed by retail at 11.8% and health care at 9.6%. However, these numbers were reversed over the 20-years period. In particular, health care became an industry with the highest workforce reporting at 11.3%, whereas the remaining two considerably decreased, specifically manufacturing dropping to 9.8% and retail to 10.1%, respectively.
Turning to the other Australian industries, the modest increases were observed in construction from 7.6% to 8.3% and education from 6.8% to 7.5%. While tourism initially can attribute to the lowest group 5.5%, it demonstrated the high-chart increase which was 1.8% in 2009.
