The following table provides data on the inhabitants of three the most populous countries in the world in 2017.
According to this table, China ranks first in terms of population, consuming 1.415 billion of civilians with 58% urban citizens, and has the largest area (9.388 square kilometers). At the same time, the population grown since 2017 in this country is the lowest compared to India and USA, equals to only +0.39%.
India takes the second place by population, behind China by less than 100 million residents. However, the India’s population increase and density are about three times that of China. On the other hand, the part of townspeople is tiny compared to other countries, accounting for only 32%. In addition, the area of the country occupies 2.973 square kilometers, which is a third of the territory of China or the United States.
The USA has the smallest population, calculation for 327 million, but simultaneously the largest share of urban citizens, that is 83%. The area of the United States is roughly equal to that of China, but, respectively, people density is the lowermost.
