The given table cahrt indicates the proportion of consumer spending on three kinds of items in five countries in the year 2002.
Looking at an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the rate of each category was different by each country and kind of items. In addition, according to the chart, the most popular items were food, drinks and tobacco in five different countries. On the other hand, the least favorite items were leisure and education.
A closer look at the data reveals that 32.14% of consumers spent on food, drinks and tobacco in Turkey, followed by Ireland, with 28.91%. Also, Spain, Italy and Sweden spent 18.8%, 13.36% and 15.77% respectively. Italy spent more than other country on clothing and footwear with 9.00%, while compared to Sweden which spent the least with 15.77%. The other countries spent on average around 6.5% on clothing and footwear. With regard to the chart, the least expenditure was on leisure and education which was composed of under 5% in all countries.
