The graph provides us with information about the percentage of ownership of a car by families in Great Britain between 1971 and 2007.
As we can see from the graph, it is clear that families with ownership of two cars and three or more cars climbed up over time, whereas households with one car fluctuated. On the other hand, families with no car experienced a sharp decline.
Family with two cars recorded increased significantly over the year, from under 10% in 1971 and reaching a peak of 28% in 2007. Similarly, People who have three or more cars displayed gradual growth, recording only 1% in the initial year and attaining just over 8% at the end of the period.
Apart from that, ownership with one car showed fluctuation over the period, with the portion ranging between 40% and nearly 48%. In contrast, households with no car decreased sharply, starting at nearly 50% in 1971 and getting the lowest level in 2007, with just over 25%.
