The table illustrates how often a European country used the Internet over a five-year period, between 2006 and 2010.
Overall, the number of adults using the Internet daily increased significantly, while the other categories witnessed a downward trend. Noticeably, the proportion of individuals who never accessed the Internet saw a considerable decline over the period.
In detail, the percentage of adults engaging in daily Internet usage increased dramatically from 36% in 2006 to 72% in 2010. Conversely, there was a fluctuation in the weekly Internet usage figures, beginning at 15% in 2006, getting the peak on 29% in 2008, and then dropping to 22% at the end of the period.
For the other groups, in 2006, 15% of adults reported using the Internet three times per month; meanwhile, 34% reported not using it. However, during the next five years, the percentage of persons who used the Internet three times a month fell suddenly to 5%. In 2010, the percentage of individuals who never used the Internet reduced sharply to just 1%.
