Overall, it is clear from the table that the older railway network had longer routes and more passengers rather than the newer ones
Starting with London ,which was the first opened system in 1863, with the longest route (394km) among others , which served 775 passengers. The second oldest and longest was in Paris, which was inaugurated in 1900 its passengers’ count was higher than the former by making up 1191 even though its route length was shorter, which was 199km. Moreover, one of the largest passengers’ count was in Tokyo, accounting for 1927 per year and it run for 155km
As for newer systems, Washington DC had the the longest route length and most passengers among new underground railway networks built in 1976, with 126km route transporting 144 passengers annually. In addition to this, the shortest and least was in Kyoto, which was 11km carrying 45 passengers every year. The newest network was Los Anegles inaugurated in 2001, serving 50 passengers along its 28 km track length.
