While everyone uses the same hours and minutes per day in all other activities, there is a significant difference in the time allocated for employment, study and housework activities. Females spend more time for housework than males, whereas men use their time for work and learning.
Over 8 hours per day is a typical time for UK residents to sleep and rest and the amount is about 40 to 48 minutes respectively for men and females in personal care. The matter of eating and drinking takes up 1.25 hours per day for males and 1.19 hours for females.
About leisure activities, the total average in day ís 5.25 hours and 4.53 hours respectively in men and women. While this, watching TV, DVD and listening to the radio or music for approximately 2.50 hours in male and female spend more than (2.25 hours). Both of them spend less time on other leisure activities like social entertainment or culture (1.22 and 1.32), hobbies and games (0.37 and 0.23), sports (0.13 and 0.07) and reading (0.23 and 0.26) respectively in males and females.

Males in the UK take 3.45 hours for work and study, while females take just about 2.26 hours. In housework and childcare, the average time in a day is longer for females (3.32hours) than male (just 1.56 hours).
