Overall, the tables gives information about metro lines, their general length in miles, the amount of year’s travels and the price of one ticket, calculated in US dollars.
To begin with, all cities have more that 10 lines, thought the similarities end there. New York City Subway takes the leadership with more than 24 line available, thus doubling the amout Mexico City Metro can provide. London Tube is almost equal to latter with 11 routes, whereas Tokyo Subway, Paris Metro and Beijing Subway outrun it by 2, 5 and 8 lines respectively. The lenght of the undergrounds also differentiate, with US leading once again with 659 miles. Chinese Beijing has almost a half of it and UK got nearly close enought. Other cities are roughtly approaching the first three.
The number of people travelling per year vary, though it’s oblious that the Beijing Subway is at the top, having served more that 3.5 billion customers. Tolyo Subway takes the second place with 3.1 billions. Other cities obtain roughtly equal amounts of travellers, starting from 1.65 in New York and ending with 1.2 in London. Price of the tickets is the highest in London Tube, where passagers have to pay 7.30 dollars and the lowest in Mexico City Metro, where the cost is only 23 US coins.
