The flow chart illustrates the process of manufacturing a biofuel which is named ethanol.
Overall, it is clear that the process of producing ethanol is rather complex, which involves 9 stages. The whole process begins with plants gaining energy and ends with the emission of carbon dioxide from transports. Apparently, the whole process is a cycle.
First of all, many plants and trees get energy from sunlight and carbon dioxide during the growth. When these plants mature, they are harvested by the agricultural machines. The next stage is putting them in the pre-processing equipment and they are changed into cellulose which is the significant part of ethanol.
In the following stage, the cellulose is transported to the chemical lab to conduct the next processing. And then, during the expriment, the cellulose is transformed into sugars. The former step to come into being ethanol is adding microbes. After that, the ethanol can be fuel used by comment vehicles, such as cars, lorries and planes. Through them running, carbon dioxide is released and come back the air to complete the cycle.
