The given table illustrates the number, in metric tons, of local and imported fresh fish into Perth Australia between 2004 and 2014.
Overall, the amount of local catches was the highest in 2008 whereas the peak of imports was in 2012.
When we look at the number of fish that were caught locally, there are fluctuations that happened over the 10-year period. The quantity increased steadily from 2004 until 2007, from 2677.7 to 5702.2. Then it grew sharply in 2008, up to 8136.2, more than half of the total catches in the previous year. However, the amount decreased from 2009 until 2012 and grew steadily in 2013 and 2014. And looking at the total of fish brought from outside, it also experienced fluctuations over the years, where the lowest was in 2005 (231.6) and the peak was in 2012 (around 1220).
Now when we combine the number of both local and sourced fish, we can see that on average there are around 3100 up to almost 9000 fish in Perth. The city saw the highest quantity in 2009 and faced fluctuations throughout the next 5-year period.
